With the summer break drawing to a close, most parents might be looking forward to send their children back to school. Children, however, might not be ready to give up their long and lazy days of vacation. Nevertheless, there’s a lot you can do to ensure your children are not only ready, but excited to get back to school. Here are a few tips that will help you get things on track for back-to-school season. 

1. Drum up excitement

The one thing every child looks forward to is picking out their stationery for the school year. Letting children select their favorite pencils, school bags, and lunch boxes would make them eager to use it when the school year begins. You can also start conversations with them about what aspect of school they like best, to think of school positively.

2.  Encourage scheduled bedtimes

Getting children to bed on time becomes more and more important as the new school year draws near. During summer break, children would be used to getting up late. Therefore, regular bedtimes at least for a week before school starts is advisable to get them used to school timings. The earlier you start, the smoother the transition to school will be.

3. Incorporate educational toys and games into the day
